Fabulous authentic souvenir book from the show of DeLaMano, a 19th century traveling magician working in America. "De La Mano" means "of the hand"- in Italian. The booklet, from 1877, contains pages of tricks that you can learn to become a magician. Since these are from the 19th century, some of these tricks are pretty strange by today's standards, and make for amusing reading.
The book's cover has been hand-tinted and hand-lacquered, a painstaking process. Thus, such delicate pieces of magic history are rare to find today.
Size: 4" x 6"
Color: white paper, black ink
Condition: excellent- near mint, never opened. You will be surprised that this is over 100 years old!
A note about condition: These booklets are in outstanding condition for being over 100 years old, and being printed inexpensively on thin paper. Occasionally a book may have minor age spots, minor paper or ink fading, minor paper discoloration and or slight chipping of the paper on the edges. They are so beautiful you may want to frame yours!
