Perhaps one of the most memorable close-up routines of all time! This is the one everyone asks about- how to make two ordinary rubber bands pass right through each other.

Stretch an ordinary rubber band between the thumb and index finger of each hand. Hook one rubberband around the other, so it is visibly seen that the rubberbands are pulling against each other (see photo). Suddenly, at your command, the rubberbands pass right through each other, yet neither band is broken. It seems impossible that one band could pass the other without being removed from the finger! No gimmicks used- just ordinary rubber bands!
