When you go to the Checkout page, look for the little picture of the padlock near the top of your browser window. That little padlock tells you that you are on a SECURE page- the information you send from that page is sent ENCRYPTED (scrambled) so that it travels safely and securely from your computer to the Authorize.net server (the government-approved and licensed company that we use to handle the credit card processing).

When you place an order with MagicTricks.com, we GUARANTEE that you will receive your order via the USPS. If it is lost in the mail by the USPS, we will replace it FREE. We ship all of our packages with a USPS Confirmation Receipt so that your carrier must log the delivery time for your package. If the USPS does not deliver your package and log the delivery, we will ship a replacement at no additional cost to you. (PLEASE NOTE: If the USPS confirms that your package was delivered, however, we will not replace the package. Packages reported delivered by the Postal Service are considered fulfillment of our guarantee. Any delivery problems you have must be settled with your local Post Office. This includes suspected theft of your package or incorrect delivery by the Postal Service.)
(PLEASE NOTE: If the USPS returns your package to us as Undeliverable, we will notify you at the email address you have provided, and will issue you a refund for the price of the products. Sorry, but postage already paid by us is not refundable.)

We ship via US Priority Mail unless you've paid for FedEx shipping. Typically, it takes 3 to 5 business days in total for the average order to arrive at a destination within the Continental U.S. Sorry, we only ship to addresses with a U.S. zip code. We do not ship internationally (no Canadian orders).

 
Most orders are processed and shipped the same day we receive them. If you place the order by phone or online by using the shopping cart, your order will be processed much quicker than if you mail it to us, because we cannot process your mailed-in order until we get it! It usually takes 3-5 business days for a mailed-in order to reach us.
 
Packages are shipped daily Monday through Friday. Priority mail typically takes 3-5 business days to reach addresses within the lower 48 U.S. states.
 
Of course, this is only an estimate, this is not a guarantee. We have no control over the speed of delivery after your package is in the hands of the carrier.

 
We keep you informed about the status of your order every step of the way.
 
  • We hold your shipment for any temporarily backordered items.
    Typically, backordered items are back in stock within 3-5 business days, so we are not talking about a long delay.
  • We will email you to let you know when your order is expected to ship.
    On the day we receive your order, you will receive an email if you have an item in your order that will not ship immediately. If you did not give us an email address, or if you gave us an incorrect email address, you will not be contacted.
  • You may request that the available items be shipped, and the backordered items be cancelled.
    As long as the backordered item is not a special order, you may instruct us at any time to ship what we have available, and cancel the backordered items.
  • If your order contains an item that has too long an expected back-in-stock date orbecomes permanently unavailable, your order is shipped without that item.

 
Like all other magic shops, MagicTricks.Com does not allow any item to be returned, refunded or exchanged for a different item. Defective items, of course, will be replaced. Sorry, items damaged by the customer cannot be replaced.
 
We are happy to have you as a customer. We are constantly evaluating the tricks we offer so that you can feel confident that you will be getting a good value when you buy from us. Many tricks on the market are too complicated, badly designed, or are just not good entertainment. We do not carry every trick on the market for this reason. But also- all the tricks we do carry will not be right for you. Please use the skill level guide, as well as the description of the trick and our "Recommended" lists to help you make your choices. Why doesn't MagicTricks.com accept exchanges and returns?

First: Magic tricks are not like any other item you will buy. When you buy a magic trick, you are buying two things: the actual gimmicked item, and the secret. Many magic tricks work on very simple principles, and the piece of equipment you get is only part of the trick. The main part is the secret- the idea, the clever principle, the routine. The people who invent these tricks must be paid for their ideas. It would not be fair for you to be able to order their tricks, examine them, learn the secret, and return them to get your money back because now you know "how it's done". 

Second: Magic is a hobby that requires practice and dedication. You must be willing to put some practice into the tricks you buy. Don't get easily discouraged! Even the simplest tricks don't really work themselves- the magician must present the illusion for the magic to be really good. Returning a trick just because you don't feel like taking the time to practice it is not allowed (again- you already know the secret!). If you don't like to practice anything, or if you are impatient, maybe magic is not a good hobby for you.

Third: Good magic is simple. Sometimes that can be a drawback, because you may receive your trick and think, "Awwww. That's how it works" and be disappointed that it isn't more complicated. Remember that all the tricks we carry have been audience tested again and again. These tricks fool people! Just because a trick is ingeniously simple isn't a good reason for wanting to return it.
There are a lot of mediocre tricks out there. We let other shops carry them- you won't find crummy tricks here. Simple- yes. Clever- yes. Crummy- no.

Fourth: We try to be as accurate as possible in describing what each trick does, and the skill needed to do each effect. We encourage you to contact us before you purchase any trick if you have any questions. We stand behind what we sell: you get a good value for your money. And that's why there are no refunds.
