The magician displays five different colored rods and a small 2.75" metal tube with a lid. Secretly, a spectator selects one of the colored rods and places it in the tube. He is asked to place the lid on the tube, and also asked to hide the remaining rods in a pocket or purse, etc. The magician can instantly tell which color rod was selected and placed in the tube.

This method is easy, but diabolically clever, and will even fool most magicians!
