On July 3, 2002, the U.S. Postal Service honored world-famous magician Harry Houdini with a commemorative postage stamp. This is a FULL UNCUT sheet of 20 stamps from that limited printing.
Since magic is the art of illusion, the designers added a special touch to this stamp. The stamp actually has a hidden image embedded in it. When the stamp is held under a special UV filter, Houdini appears shackled in chains. View the image under regular light- the chains have vanished! (A special viewer can be purchased from stamp dealers, or you can take the stamp to your local post office and ask to use their viewer).
What makes this so special is that these are OFFICIAL U.S. STAMPS, printed by the U.S. Postal Service. Yes, you can use them for mailing letters, if you want! But they are truly terrific collectibles for the magic enthusiast.
Back in 2002, we purchased a small quantity of these stamps. We've reached into the vault to offer you a once-in-a-lifetime chance to own your own Houdini stamps. When these are gone- POOF!- they're gone!
You can store the stamp sheet as is, or you may want to put it in a frame for display. Either way, this is a fantastic keepsake at a BARGAIN price!
