Wayne Goodman's ingenious trick involving a playing card and a Sharpie pen has caused quite a stir in the magic community, and for good reason- it's brilliant!
The effect is simple: Have a spectator choose a playing card, and have the card put back in the deck. Have a second spectator choose another card, but this time have him sign the card with a Sharpie pen. The second card is also returned to the deck. Now, with a flourish, you turn over the top card of the deck- it's the second spectator's signed playing card!
Pretty good magic, but the trick isn't over yet. Hand the first spectator the Sharpie pen, and ask her to tap on the signed card "and it will change". She taps on the card- nothing seems to happen. She taps again- again nothing. You then let her know- it wasn't the CARD that changed, it was the PEN! Pull the cap off the "pen" and the pen unrolls- it's the first spectator's card! This is an INCREDIBLE and UNFORGETTABLE effect!
